Cassandra Monique Batie also known as Andra is an American R&B, soul and the singer/songwriter. She has been awarded various accolades such as a Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nomination for an Academy Award. Andra is not simply an old-fashioned R&B singer, her gospel jazz roots and blues can be heard in a style that's effortless and elegant. The debut of her album Cheers to the Autumn (2015) she made it in to the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts as well as securing a few Grammy nominations. In 2017, her work on Marshall's score was acknowledged with an Academy Award. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew as a child in San Diego and the metropolitan city. There she sang at churches, and was enrolled into The School of Creative and Performing Arts. After leaving the School of Performing and Creative Arts, andra Day began to focus on contemporary R&B and Pop but soon discovered that her roots in soulful jazz were what she was most drawn to. The turning point came after a show she performed was spotted by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently took some of Day's music to husband Stevie Wonder. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz then introduced Day to veteran music industry figure Adrian Gurvitz. In partnership with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day developed a popularity on YouTube and later signed with major-label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day dropped her first single Forever Mine on YouTube. It was taken up and played in radio stations by a variety of DJs. In 2015, after signing in 2015 with Warner Bros. Records she started working on her debut record Cheers To The Fall with Adrian Gurvitz. It featured the track Rise Up that has since become a global music video for social justice campaigns. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations, including Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday was her second album that was released in the year 2019 and it was a concept album about Billie Holiday's life. The same year, she was a part-time actress in a biopic on Holiday's story, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is an American actor. Her debut came in the film Halloween as Allyson, after appearing in numerous television shows like Orange Is the New Black (Orange is the new black) 666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue), Blue Bloods and Orange is the New Black. Andi matichak is an American actress who was born 03 May 1994 Framingham in Massachusetts.
