Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback), her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. The actress did not go on to pursue acting as a career after reaching adulthood, as her parents were concerned about the adverse effects that stress could have. Perry says she didn't want to be an actor in high school, but she decided to begin performing as a form of social interaction at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Perry started her acting career with New York after graduation, performing in minor role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry go back to California and find work as a theater actress. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC film The Family, in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. The same year, she appeared as a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a younger version. The character was chosen through an audition, even having a strong association with it.
